Snake Hook (help)

So I love snakes. Venomous or not I love them. They're beautiful, incredible predators, and can be so silly and affectionate. But where I live people will go out of the way to run them over and kill them.
Today I swerved around a baby copperhead on the road, but before I could turn around the person behind me hit it and it was gonna die. Guts everywhere and it was thrashing around. So I killed it with a knife I had to give it a quick death. But it absolutely breaks my heart to do it and I want to start saving them without risking getting bitten. So far I've been lucky or they haven't been venomous, but I want to get a snake hook. A good one for big snakes runs about 40-50 dollars. So for this I'm offering 50 dollars as a set price for:
A reference sheet
A detailed portrait
A detailed full body
Detailed full body with a landscape background
And a 50% off coupon with no expiration date to use later
I've handled snakes plenty before, I should add, but I haven't owned venomous ones so I dont have a hook

I was a field biologist (working with rattlesnakes specifically, among other species) for years and have a few laying around the house. I'm sure you know this, but it's not adviseable to pick them up by the tail in any way while using a hook - it's easy to get too close and have them come back on you -- a gentle low-to-the-ground lift with the hook is generally enough to get them off the road -- and always in the direction they were going as if you put them simply to the closest side, they may still attempt to cross the road -- they have set territories and travel plans so they're headed somewhere when they're on the road. :)
If I had spare cash I'd snap this up for the cause, but as it stands, I simply can't afford to right now. Running a reptile rescue here on my own leaves me pretty busy and strapped lately!
And no worries, I dont want to break the bank for anyone, I just love animals too much to not try to save them just because I don't have a hook. Gives my husband heart attacks though
I want to run a rescue someday!! For now I've just been helping neglected animals find new homes. And today I had to get a snapping turtle out of a grocery store lol
