Concerning Commissions: Naturama Project/Internship

MOVED ACCOUNTS!
sorensystem Hello everyone,
Here is my long awaited journal on the status of commissions over the summer! For those interested primarily in my furry art, there is some mixed news.
I'll start with the positive and answer the questions of how my commissions will be open for the next month or two!
June Commissions
This year again, I'm doing commissions through the Naturama Project. All money for these commissions gets donated to one of a group of wildlife organizations that each participating artist selects, AND each client is entered into a raffle to win animal-themed prizes! (You can read more details at the Naturama Project homepage.)
For this project, I'm currently offering traditional pieces with a simple background, either for a half body or a full body!
- Half body: 35 Euro (~$41 USD)
- Full body: 45 Euro (~$53 USD)
To order, please send me an e-mail through the Naturama Project website.
Payment will be collected through PayPal, or a bank transfer to the Naturama Project account. For more information on payment, please read their FAQ page!
Unfortunately, due to logistical reasons, I will NOT be offering shipping on these, as I thought I would be able to. My schedule during the week will be very full and I will not necessarily be able to get to a post office easily, or be able to obtain supplies necessary to protect artwork from damage during shipment.
This kind of leads me into my next point...
Second topic: Internship.
I thought I would be able to offer a greater variety of commissions this summer, because I wasn't having much luck in my applications for internships. However, less than a week ago I heard back affirmatively from one company, and it turns out I will be participating in a book design internship away from home. I'm planning on doing this full time, and it will likely be in a very small town.
Now that this has come up, I don't think I'll be able to open commissions to the extent I wanted. I'm excited about the professional opportunity! ...But keeping up with my schoolwork during the year is already exhausting. So, with my summer break being eliminated and with 40 hours a work of week, I'm pretty concerned about burnout. Thus, I'm going to limit the commissions to the ones through the Naturama Project, take a break for a while, and see how I do balancing work, personal art, and dance (as well as a couple of weekend events I have planned). If I end up being able to open for commissions later in the summer, I'll post another journal to update.
Thank you again everyone for your understanding! I'm looking forward to being able to contribute to the Naturama Project again this year!
