If you want to branch out and try drawing new things, do that! If you want to do that and also get paid, try doing that as a YCH or offering commissions specifically for that thing~

My problem is that I’ve already tried that and no one wants them?? I’ve attracted the kind of audience that wants more of my unusual specifically-commissioned stuff.

I totally can understand that! especially when It's fetish stuff that's not something you're personally into, so it feels more... like a job than fun. I take it you wish to shift your work into more portrait kinda things and just fun random stuff? I do wonder will you end up totally dropping doing any TF and other sorta stuff totally? or just making it more a side thing that happens much less frequently? Either way I'm sorry you've had to draw stuff that just doesn't feel enjoyable and stuff. :c

Whichever direction you take, you know I'll always support and care for you! I do want to see you succeed, and grow as an artist, and a person, I know I've personally seen you grow over the years and I'm so proud of your progress so far. Seriously, keep up the great work! <3

I will say I absolutely throw in my approval for a "will draw / won't draw" list, many artists do, and some of their tastes change over time, I know some artist friends who drew and was known for certain things, dropped it, made it clear they wished not to draw it as much/anymore, and just went from there. So if you feel like you're pegged into specific ideas that are REALLY not your taste... I wholly recommend this option. The reasonable commissioners/supporters will absolutely understand, and the ones that don't? you don't need 'em in your life anyway~. I hope this advice has helped!
