Bad news from the doctor.

General
I was going to post this in LJ, but its not working right now.
I went to the doctor today for the usual diabetes checkup, which usually isn't a big deal, but today was very different.
I found out that in a months time, I have lost 7 pounds, which is not good, as I was under 140 pounds before that.
My doctor seems highly concerned about what is going on.
I don't know why this is happening, but I hope to know more soon.
In the mean time, I have also managed to get sick with a slight fever, headache and weakness.
I don't like posting journals about whats wrong, but lately it seems that hardly anything is going right for me.
Regardless though, I still feel bad for many in other journals I've read who are also having problems, some worse than mine.

FA+

That isn't too good. Hope you feel better.
Although, if you don't mind me asking, why do you have usual checkups for diabetes? Is it hereditary?
Diabetes can cause various problems over time, so I have to have checkups every few months to make sure something has not changed.
*hugs*
Thank you. :) At this point, I'm trying not to let it bother me too much.
I feel the worst for the little kids 3-7 yrs who get it though, but its not fun at any age.
Diabetes runs in my family as well, my grandpa had it, there was nothing I could do to prevent mine though, it just happened. Type 1
Being over or under is bad, both have about the same effect too, things just don't work like they should, both decrease your ability to fight infections and make it harder to do lots of exercise.
Seems like many I've talked to have lost about 20 pounds due to one thing or another this year, its really weird.
I do not like taking shots or sticks either, but its better than the alternatives in my case.
I think a lot of whats wrong with me is that I haven't been eating the same food I used to, so I slowly lost weight.
The food can make a big difference, I found out tonight that many of the chips, and things like that I had been eating contained sugar.
Thanks, I've been interested in trains for a long time, there's just something cool about them :)
I don't know any engineers, but it does look like a neat job, train simulator can give you the feeling of what its like to be one.
Sometimes its the simple things like the sounds of railroading that we miss most when they are no longer there.
