as bad as article 13 is it will nvr work the resources req to to look at and manage that amount of data is ridicules and any decent vpn would absolutely bend over any system they could put in place unless they make it mandatory to install spying software and in that case it would be a huge security risk to the eu infrastructure so its doubtful this will go anywhere. also any encryption software would circumvent it as well considering how hard and expensive it is to de encrypt data in any real-time environment.

True. However the term mass disruption cascade can be initiated by even a small change to something as large as the internet. It would also bring the collapse of the large businesses trying to put through this deregulation.

well theres not much i can do about it seeing as im not an EU citizen but i can tell you this much the EU leadership will be committing political suicide if they pass this... there already taking a huge hit with brexit this just seems like it will spur other countrys to leave an already weakened EU

That's true. There is increasing separation of provinces/states because they' re being exploited far too much as being part of " something larger " much the same as big business even considering this deregulation. As for Brexit the driving fear was over population in a physically smaller country.

I think I watched a video on that, I live in the US but Its still that is insane that they want to pass something like that, it will basically destroy alternative media and cripple the Internet there, hopefully it is put down before it is voted on.

As someone living in the US, I find this very sad. I'd like to think that even if my own country is dead-set on making the worst possible decisions on absolutely everything, the rest of the world is still sane and mitigating the damage, even making some progress. But it looks more and more like the madness and stupidity are a planet-wide epidemic. I suppose it's only a matter of time before they import our insane gun culture and terrible health care too.
