That...really sucks. Holy hell.
Normally I'd say that, at least now, you've got a back-up pencil if you still happen to have the old one - but that's not all that useful without a tablet.

Yeah that sucks. That's like my Wacom- only it's not my tablet it's their shitty cables that have terrible connection and wear out after like a month. I have heard good things about monoprice, a old roommate got one of their tablets. I know there are a few other brands of tablets too, my current roommate has a huge on screen tablet for less than half of a cintiq and it works really good. I don't recall the name of it now though sadly. Point is, if you google alternatives to wacom ____ (whatever type you prefer) there is a few brands to look into. I only know of monoprice for sure and the mysterious one my roommate has now.

Mainly just read reviews/comparisons to wacom and the most important is check that the tablet works with your art program (like if you use Sai)
