Ok, saw Solo today!
This was very good, the pacing was good, story was good, yes there were NO JEDI and/or Sith that dominated the story.
Some of the music was used from Empire Strikes Back, This was actually better than Rogue One...so why it getting bad reviews then?
If you have read the books, comics and other media...then yes this would be boring.
I say go and see it.

Rotten Tomatoes has it #1 on Box Office with a 71% critical rating and 64% viewer rating. I suspect that some went to see it with a premonition that it would be bad and so that mentality affected how they saw it

It's fan backlash towards disney and the shit show that was not only The last jedi, but the way disney and lucas films has been treating the fans, the forced SJW BS, the destruction of a beloved series and characters, and much more. The low ratings and boycotting is to send a message to disney using their wallets and votes.
