Hi, Ovamiat! As an American myself, I'm glad that we're not yet at risk for changes quite this sweeping, however; we are dealing with the repeal of net neutrality and it is yet to be seen how that will change the internet for us, and if we're going to be stuck with the new rules. This thing in the EU will affect us though. New work from our friends there who make funny parodies, memes, or anything creative based on something else will start disappearing and we will miss out. And I'm sure you've noticed all the websites, including this one telling you about cookies. That's something the EU passed that has affected everyone. The internet is everyone's, and we need to stand up for it internationally.

Actually, FA is the only website I've seen the cookies thing on.

I think that the U.S. is partially protected from some of the things the EU passes because of our Constitution guaranteeing us certain rights, and I think you would see that... as well as all the furries in Europe moving to the UK because BREXIT.
