Get a laser printer. They're much better than the ink jet printers and don't clog. I've heard a single ink cartridge for one can last years. They're more expensive up front, though.

are we talking printers for art printing? cuz if so, a buddy of mine got the Canon PIXMA pro-10 fairly recently and she loves it ' v'

For art prints, yeah. I was looking at a CANON PIXMA iP8750. The PRO looks good but may be a little pricey even with a split payment xD;

o3o In regards to the laserjet, the M402n is relatively cheap and comparatively sized to a small home printer probably. It's only black an white, though. The M452nw adds wireless and color, but it's gonna be more expensive and slightly larger to accommodate all the color toners.

If you're looking for art printing, though, you probably definitely want to look at Canon. The HP LaserJets and toner are really only going to be good if you want to do like business printing probably. I'm not sure how far I'd trust them to do artist related stuff with fancy paper or anything glossy. That's just my two cents tho. xD;
