Tomb of Bound Horrors - Party 2, Room 6

If you're still alive, under the sea,
I'll cut off both my legs and become a fish.
If you come close enough for me to fall into the depths,
I'll become a shadow, wandering the endless darkness. Arranged as always by the great

Benji, Sunoo and Viridis strained their eyes as they entered the next room. The room was totally dark except for pale blue torches that lined the walls of the grand chamber. The walls were smooth, showing no signs of any other exits other than the one they came in from.
Standing in the middle of the room was a huge, blood red orb that towered at least twice their height. On it were many gold etching running up, down and across it. It seemed to notice the adventurers' presence and glowed brightly in response.
Words appeared across the ceiling in red lines saying "Cross the breach" and countless red lines began fading in and out the ground, tracing out incomprehensible patterns.
Viridis looked around the room for hints. "Does 'Crossing the breach' mean we got to cross the red lines?" he asked the others. Sunoo shrugged, looking around for hints. He stared at the glowing orb...something about it seemed off.
Suddenly, a dark shadow moves from the corner of his eye. Sunoo quickly turned to look at it but he lost his sense of balance and fell to the floor. The fox hits the ground and red ropes shot out from the red markings along the ground, wrapping around his ankles.
Viridis and Benji jumped to the fox's rescue with Benji untying his feet and Viridis pulling the both of them back through the door with his clawed toes just as more ropes lunged out at them. The three adventurers took a few moments to catch their breaths. "Are you okay?" Benji signals to Sunoo who nods in response.
"Among all the rooms we've faced so far, this one seems to take the biggest slice of the danger cake," Viridis comments. "And I don't trust those red lines."
Benji nodded in agreement. Perhaps he should try to cross the room as the lines fade out. He waited for one long line to fade before hopping over to it. No ropes. Benji gives Viridis a thumbs up and waits for the next line. Three, two, one, hop! Going good so far.
"Behind you!" Viridis warned, but it was too late. A line had just faded in under his feet, sending ropes up around his ankles. "Mfftt!" he struggled as he stepped over more red lines. Ropes shot out at him, binding his wrists around his back.
"Careful!" Viridis shouted. Sunoo and Viridis were standing in the doorway itching to help but the threat of the red lines were holding them back. Struggling, Benji tripped over his bound ankles and fell on the ground. Rope after rope wrapped him up into a cocoon and a final rope hoisted him into the air by his ankles. His bound figure swung back and forth and he moaned in dizziness.
In the meantime Viridis had made his way below Benji as he carefully avoided the red lines. With the use of his hands gone as they were restrained in a straitjacket he was forced to use his mouth. Jumping up at the ferret he bit on Benji's ear. "Owrh owrh owrh!" the ferret yelped. The rope suspending him gave way and he fell towards the ground. The raptor quickly bit the ropes holding him, preventing him from hitting the ground, and moved to avoid the shifting lines. "Mfft!" Benji thanked the raptor from behind the muzzle.
However, Viridis was lost in focus. He needed to be careful if they were to survive. "I'm going to put you down and I want you to go back to the entrance. Can you hop?" he mumbled through the ropes. Benji nodded. Viridis lowered the bound ferret and he cautiously hopped his way back to the entrance.
Once Benji reached the entrance Sunoo signaled the ferret that he would go forward and assist Viridis. He slowly made his way across to Viridis.
Viridis had just reached the red orb which glowed even brighter as it sensed his presence, almost blinding the raptor and he squinted as his eyes got used to the brightness. The orb's golden lines were fading in and out in a fashion similar to that of the lines on the floor. He should probably touch the orb and see what happens, but should he be touching the red surface of the orb and avoid the fading gold lines? Or is the solution to touch the orb on the gold lines?
Well, he had been avoiding the red lines in the room so the gold lines should be the solution. The raptor took a deep breath and tapped a clawed foot on a golden line that had just faded into view. Gold webbing shot out from the sphere and wrapped him in a sleep sack. His view was blocked by the sticky gold fluid with some of it getting into his mouth as it covered his maw. He struggled against the web but it only served to entangled him further.
The sight of Viridis' capture caused Sunoo to panic and take a step forward. He stopped himself a second too late as his foot crossed a red line. Ropes shot out to grab Sunoo's ankles and he fell to the ground. The ropes made short work of the fox and soon Sunoo found himself suspended in the air in a tight hogtie.
Benji looked helplessly at the fox. If he could use his hands he would ask if Sunoo was okay but even then the fox was unable to reply except by moving his eyes. Benji sighed. With his hands bound by his side he could help neither the fox nor the raptor. His only hope was to somehow reach the unleashing key at the end, although with his body tied up like that, the chances of him succeeding was dangerously low. Hopefully the unleashing key was nearby.
He stared at the lines carefully. He was going to be careful now. Patterns. Think patterns. Glow. Fade. Glow. Fade. Glow. Fade. Hop. In careful hops, he made it halfway across to the orb. There was no turning back now, nor was there time to celebrate. The seconds ticked by excruciatingly slowly as he moved slowly but surely across.
The orb was just in front of him now. He could just about reach it, it only he could use his hands. There was a sort of stone step that was in front of the orb, smooth and round except for a round protruding knob. He stepped on the stone and leaned forward, trying to touch the orb with his nose. Just then a red line faded below his feet and a rope tripped him over onto his knees. "Fuck!" he thought, as another rope bound his knees to the ground, one on either side of the step. The orb was still close enough, if only he could reach forward a little more.
As he reached out with his nose again, a rope wrapped around his waist and pulled his body down. The knob nudged against his ass and he yelped in pain from behind the muzzle. His pants ripped and soon he found his tailhole invaded by the stone protrusion. He struggled against his binds but only succeeded it working the protrusion around his ass. He whimpered anxiously. Was it going to end this way?
A final rope sprung up and wrapped around his neck, pulling him into a kneeling position in front of the orb. Black tape floated from the ground and wrapped his muzzle and eyes, securing itself into position.
It was over for him. It was over for their team. "I'm sorry," he apologized from behind the muzzle. The only way out for them would be for one of the other two teams to reach the key and set them free. Until then, they would have to endure their bindings that trapped them.

I honestly don't know. This one was wildly stressful and I undercharged myself so much that it overall didn't feel like it was worth it. It was fun, but overall I just felt too stressed to really enjoy it myself.
