I'd say...just remember this stuff isn't anything new and has happened with pretty much any character that is anthro or could be shifted into such readily; it'll fizzle out eventually. Besides, now everyone is posting Wolf O'Donnell again since he's been re-added to smash bros and he's definitely not a new character, its just to do some creative tribute to the character (also people are horny af for him). It can be tiresome at times, but its definitely not a new thing and it'll be around a while.

I think part of it is just how many people will hear of a character due to the artwork they see of said character, then new people wanna know about said show themselves and well, it repeats when they wanna do their own art of it. It can't be helped but I mean, can always shrug it off .

I definitely agree with what you are saying here; fads come and go, therefore, this Haida obsession will die out (until the next season of Aggretsuko) and won't resurface until some other time.

I know it can't be helped, but it would be refreshing for someone to see a show because of that one character just to see what the fuss is about and draw fanart of another character on that show. As for being sexually attracted to a character, yeah I've had my share of fictional men that I have found attractive, but some of them were a bit embarassing to reveal.

It might be just me that finds the explosion of Haida art to be obnoxious though, but I'm sure others may or may not feel the same way.

oh I can understand that for sure. I realize its not everyone's cup of tea to do fan art of a character and thats totally fine. For me I guess i'm just more de-sensitized to the idea when I've had people obsess over me in similar ways but on a personal level rather than an art one. As odd is it might sound, after a while it just becomes expectation (that level of 'fandom').

I can see what you're getting at though and honestly, sometimes its the fanbase that can kill the 'vibe' of something for someone else. I think too much fan-fiction can also detract from the 'magic' of a character too in some instances (though this isn't the case for me, I can understand why it would bother someone else).

It's just one of those things.

Haida's just sort of perfect, to me. His personality and sense of style and everything about him. ^_^' I don't usually obsess but basically if you made him gay and gave him a pompadour he'd be my dream man.

Cute, sensitive, easily embarassed and can't quite blurt out his feelings but they're super obvious, kind and helpful and a worrywart, and most importantly is a punk rocker with good fashion sense. :)

Being totally honest, I've seen maybe....2 pictures of said character, though I also don't watch the show so I probably have missed some. I kinda love when enough people can collectively agree to all like the same character. It's better than when we wind up having small wars over the new favorite video game characters, tv, movies, etc etc.

Be that as it may, sometimes it can turn into this ugly mob mentality where they try to shove that character down everyone else's throats. No order without chaos as they say... but I've been around FA and I've seen a handful of Haida artwork...but it's not in as obnoxious abundance as, say, art of Fox McCloud.

Eh, as long as it stays civil for the most part, that's alright in my book. While sometimes it does feel slightly overwhelming, notably in my memory with Night in the Woods, I've never been one to shoot down peoples ideas.

And its a badass fish monster lady from Undertale. I love her and demand more people draw her because she's AWESOME!

Some people like dating sims, but to become completely obsessed with the game to the point where your art style reflects the art style of the game, that's just obsession, like extreme obsession. There are a handful of artists I've seen who are obsessed with Morenatsu so badly, they draw in that style. (Personally, I hate Morenatsu style art but to each their own)
