Paint Tool Sai 2 Memory Usage

I need help concerning Paint Tool Sai 2's memory usage.
When I open up Sai, it says I have 72% used of memory usage and that's even before opening up a canvas.
I have been through the basics of deleting unnecessary files, emptying my recycle bins and such but it is still very high!
The only other programmes I have running the background is chrome and windows explorer and my computer has 8GB RAM
This is annoying for me as I work in big canvas' and eventually (sooner than I like) I reach 99% memory usage with edits continuously failing.
I know there is an updated version but because it's unlicensed, you cannot save any drawings.
Does anyone know how to help me fix this problem!! I would be eternally grateful!

Cuz if it ain't.
You could have a virus.
They hide in system services.
I've talked with quite a few people and we believe it could be the programme itself. So far it is surviving but it maxes out pretty quickly.
