I’ve used several different methods for my own suits, I have done fun foam encased in minky to hold the magnets in place and gluing down magnets behind fabric behind eyeliner, and then I’ve also use stiff felt. The stiff felt feels flimsier but it integrates the best and looks tbe most natural on a suit IMO.
