Marvel did it, DC Comics did it, Looney Toons did it. Why not have a furry Shared Universe (that's less cartoony than Looney Toons)? Who would be interested?
Hehe it's not exactly a multiverse. A shared universe is one universe but people write different stories in that one universe that can connect with each other. Also makes great chances for crossovers
Well, really it's a lot more complicated than that. Marvel and DC both have y'know 80+ years of interconnecting comic stories. Meanwhile, Looney Tunes certainly has all their characters interact with one another but they don't have any continuity. The continuity is a new for each short (most of the time, anyways).
Then there's the Universal Monster movies which eventually ended up being connected but weren't really planned that way (and for most of the movies, they weren't).
Alternately, the Toho monster movies were more connected but they never had any large plans, either.
Really, everyone now wants to jump and the Marvel format, but they probably should just consider starting with a single film first. (Which is what happened with the Legendary Godzilla/Kong movie series.
But either way, what are you saying, like movies? What would they even be based off of?
