finally it is arrived! yay new macbook pro 13' aluminium! XD
a bit expensive but a firend (who is a university student) manage to help me so that I can get a student discount (even if I am not a student anymore...XP) so it is £988 GBP... and I only paid a half cause my friend borrow me another half X3... still need to return money though, but I can do it little by little...
may need to take a few days time to setup everything (Macintoshi is so hard to use... need to reinstall the windows.... =w=) but after that things will get a bit better... at least I don't need to wait for 5 min for each step in drawing with my slowly old computer @w@
hmm, busy busy busy... o^w^o

but macbook air is too bad... I gave up the idea of buying it when I saw it's tech spec....
"Windows breaks down all the time.. blah blah blah!"
Bullshit. Windows 'breaks down' when you're an idiot and go around downloading everything and anything and then open it without scanning it first!
*twitch*
but Macbook just looks so cool ^w^
it is not just a laptop, itself is an artwork, simple, elegant and powerful X3 even when it is outday 10 years later it is still having it's value to lay in your show box X3
so why not? X3
(apple surely need to pay me for this ad.... XD)
I do love OS X though <3<3<3
BTW my friends told me not to cover the keyboard with those keyborad cover stuff, otherwise there will be a heat problem? @w@ is that true? I feel not save because I am a very careless doggy, what if someday I spill a cup of water on the keyboard.... =w="
hmm, well it is like this, when you install windows via bootcamp, it only give you 1 sector from HDD. (i.e. there is just a C: out there... ) I tried to go back to MAC OS to make more sector, but then bootcamp fail, all the sector that format for windows was gone/unusable TwT had to reinstall windows agagin, and even in the environment of windows, I still can't use any tool to make more sector OwO"
so, does it means that, when you use bootcamp, you can never use more than 1 sector? *faint* I can't just put everything into one sector... Photoshop will run really slowly....
...okay never mind... I'll be okay using one sector in windows @w@ that's not a main problem I can't go over anyway X3
thanks a lot!
well you don't need a really powerful machine if you are not using too many layers when drawing. multiple layers may make things handy but they just consume too much system resources...
You might need to get used to the Scrabble-piece keyboard though @_@.
lol unless I can foreseen the future otherwise that' not possible =w="
it IS a bit expensive, even after the student discount... but well, okay, I'll be able to earn it back in the future... (let's hope so )
I got my first Mac, a MacBook Pro, in April of this year. I have loved it since and do not see myself ever switching back to Windows.
besides some online banking stuff can only work on IE...*faint*
I want to use Boot Camp so I can play Valve games, but I don't have an XP CD and I refuse to pay $200 for Windows 7 when others get it at half that price.
BTW if you want windows, I suggest you buy a windows XP home edition. windows vista is a totally junk, I don't think it is good to use it. I saw the price of XP HE a few years ago, it is about $100 USD, much cheaper than professional version. it should be much cheaper now I guess >w<" if you want to use windows to play games that's quite sufficient X3
My friend uses a beta version of Windows 7 and he said it's the best Windows OS yet. He's a huge tech junkie, so I'm taking his word for it. I think I'm just going to do as you said, though, and buy a copy of XP Home. 7 is too much money for me to give to Micro$oft.
I will be buying Snow Leopard next month. I am going to pre-order it from Apple soon. =D
How did Boot Camp go? It seems easy enough, I'm just reluctant to do it because I can't find a cheap copy of XP and I refuse to pay over $30 for an OS that's already 8 years old.
bootcamp goes fine, windows is a bit unstable though, it crash serval times so I had to save all my work and do backup very often... @w@
one big problem is that, when I use bootcamp to format the sector for windows, it only give me 1 sector (i.e. C:/ only) can't divide anymore sector even when I finish installing the windows...
hmm, is it just me or is it the technology limit of bootcamp? *faint and fall into coma....*
Windows doesn't even have a good partitioning system, and I don't recommend using it.
if I earn enough money I'll just go buy a PS CS4 for mac and resolve all the problem in one time X3
Yeah it's weird, you can only partition the internal hard drive into a Mac-formatted drive without using Boot Camp. If you use an external drive, there are many more options available. On my external drive, I have 250 GB formatted for for my Time Machine backups, and 200 GB allotted for my PS3 backups, using HFS+ formatting for Time Machine and using NTFS formatting for my PS3.
