Anthrocon 2018, Day Last
Another night that I lost sleep, only maybe a little less than before. Took the time to shower -- my feet and calves were sore and my butt crack was chafed like crazy even after having the night to recover!
After cleaning out my room and checking out it was back to the Westin® Hotel for the art staff breakfast. Not AS big a breakfast today since I knew I would be having luncheon at the art show, they always bring in two kinds of pizza plus tortilla and house-made potato chips so we don't have to leave the convention center as this IS our busiest day.
And I spent most of it sitting! Not that I had any complaints with that!
Someone, today it was me, monitors the entrance to the mature section of the art show to be sure anyone with a minor's badge doesn't get in. Then, at the appointed hour, that section is emptied and closed, and we begin to shut down the art show, bay by bay, table by table. If you never heard Shiro Tora close out an art show -- same with Acrtic Husky only he hasn't been to the last con nor this one, we miss you Arc -- you really should come to an Anthrocon and witness, he's tall and has a clear brown voice and is fun as hell. The last bay and patron is closed and moved out by noon and the art show is now closed. And we get up to a two hour break to eat and rest up and get our cash for the tills before 2:00 when art pickup begins.
I did find a moment to get to Roz Gibson's table and get my newest commission of Silkenvixen in bondage from her (LOVED it!) and this morning The Gneech came by to deliver my new character badge (NOTE: he draws porn (within reason) now!). More sitting so I could help people check out and I could check out what they bought (so many of these people are SUCH lucky bastards to be able to get want!). All went great until I ran out of tape for my credit card machine and could take cash customers only (not many of those) before I got more and was running normally again. Was well after the con closed before I was done and went to the cash office to report in with my money and credit slips. When I returned tear down was well under way. And I was thinking, only 4 days ago all of this was going up. That's when you realize just how fast time moves by.
Managed to say goodbye to a couple of people. I saw people I only ever get to see once a year, twice if I'm really lucky, and occasionally chat with online during the year. JT and I did get to chat on the phone yesterday but never did meet up, which made me very sad.
Drove up to the Doubletree and picked up Bahamut and said goodbye to his awesome friends from New York.
So ends another year at Anthrocon. Where I feel more at home that when I'm at home with my own family.
Post Con Depression in full swing.

Returning to Drear Mundania can be like that...
I wish we could've met up. Even if it was just to talk.
Just going to have to find some way to get together between cons is all!
