I hope you enjoyed this batch of Anthrocon pics because this will be the last time I'll be taking pics at cons. Same goes for my convention music videos (seen here). Many reasons really. One, I love conventioneering, socializing and playing around but I've found that my obsession with getting the perfect camera/video shot and capturing enough footage has been getting in the way of me experiencing the con. Rather then joining in fursuit shenanigans and hug piles, I'm off to the side filming. No one's taking pictures of me since I'm just walking around with my eyes glued to a camera lens. I'm there in person yet missing out all the same. The most fun I had this Anthrocon were (predictably enough) the few moments where I didn't have my camera on me. Plus, carrying that big ass DSLR camera around all day tends to wear out my arms. Now before you spew me with "get a go-pro" comments I'll tell you right now, I can't afford one. And when I say I can't afford one, I don't mean spew me with links to discount and on sale go-pro's. I mean, unless they are completely free, I can't afford one. And even with a go-pro, I imagine I'll still revert back to obsessing over getting footage instead of enjoying myself. Now this won't be the end of Directionless. I'll keep you updated on future plans.
