So, this is really bizzare.....I bought COH2 Ardennes assault in 2015, thinking it was the base game, which is what the store page says it is, base game plus the Ardennes DLC. Cool, enjoy the game for a bit, suck at it, dont play it for 3 years after seeing all the paywall for other game modes and online. Decide to play it again, realize somethings fishy....Turns out I DO NOT own the base game for COH2 somehow......yet I DO according to steam, but when booting the game, I DO NOT have acess to the base campaign, Skirmish, online, or Custom games. Everything is locked behind a paywall because the game thinks I do not own the Base game of COH2, yet when i search for COH2 it shows that I do own it.....what the hell is happening? I just figured this out like 3 days ago and have no idea what to do, nothing I think of works and google is useless for this specific problem, I've shown this issue to friends and they were like "wtf, your game is broken somehow, you should have all this base game stuff, how did you buy only the dlc and get the game to run?" Please help x.x
Also double check that you didn't just download it during a free weekend. Since there have been a few and after the weekend is over it requires purchase to continue playing, but since there is a dlc it might have broken something.
Steam says I own the game and it's installed. yet launching the game, only allows me to play Ardennes Assault and thats it. in the actual game it shows that I only own the Ardennes assault and fox ranger army dlc. nothing else. So i have no idea what to do
