"Eating a gummy worm shouldn't hurt, right?"
Mother looked over at her little boy with curious concern. Roy held a half eaten piece of worm in his little hand. The other hand was holding up his clenched jaw.
"That's right. You should know candy is bad for you."
A small crystalline gem of tear rolls down the right cheek.
"Let me look inside your mouth, dearie"
The tiny mouth uncomfortably opens up with groanful struggle. Mother looks in and spots an open hole on the inside of a baby molar.
"Oh, baby. You have a cavity!"
"What's a cavity, Mommy?"
