ESO: Poll [Hide your outfit slots]
Hi! Craziux here! Link to my Twitter: Valp_Labs
██████████████████████████████████████████████████ So, I know that not everyone here plays ESO,
but I figured it wouldn't hurt posting a journal to spread the word.

ESO Forums: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.c.....r-outfit-slots
I'm trying to make this seen by ZOS. (the developers of the Elder Scrolls Online)
I need to share this for it to be seen. I realize that I cannot do that on my own,
so if you play ESO and like the idea, please share it on Twitter, Facebook etc for
a chance of making this possible.

If outfit slots are vanity based then yes, but I always feel like game play relevant visuals should not be hidden so that one can tell what kind of a fight that's ahead of them(Not gonna mess with that guy with max tier armor for example) I also think vanity items should never hide a players main tier, but armor tinting/dying should always be a thing so that no ones stuck wearing that one piece of silver armor on their golden plat facade or at least can tie it in far better esthetically.
On the technical side I have only dealt with openGL code but when it comes to vulkan or directX I don't see it too hard for them to add support to such as all one needs is a grey scale armor layer to make it work right(Yes its true there is a lot of armor types already in an mmo so this is asking the design department potentially a large task so roll it out with a few armor sets first then expand from there), so unless the armors like a super special lore particular set they should allow customization to let people feel less patch work.
But that is more a general feel for armors that show on a character in a game in general.
Then again if the game lacks such equipment profiles maybe a good thing for those who want to take on a particular dress code for a bit of immersive fun.
Also on some mmo's the vanity items sometimes feel clashing I always find that a shame, like whats a modern tux doing in the middle of a medieval city?
Anyhow good luck with your crusade quality of life should never be neglected.
Anyways, you can use costumes that's pretty revealing and now even change your weapons to look low level, and they have a outfit system that can make your gear look like light level 1 armor while being a max level tank now and so on. They showed this "hide other armor pieces" off in some icons in a stream on their dev team, but they never showcased it propperly or added it to the PTS. (the Public Test Server)
So I and a lot of people hope for this to be added, since lots of other mmo's does that, and they even let you need to showcase if you got light, medium, heavy armor etc often, but in this game you can't even hide shoulder pieces even if they float high above your characters shoulders. You can dye your weapons any color and make custom outfits by tons and tons of styles, but you can't hide other parts than the head piece. It just would make sense to add it at this point.
Kind regards~
you're bound to figure out most things wrong or things that doesn't make sense about that game I bet. x3
