Dunno about twitter but ppl on DA can be really rude and self-centered there - only care about what they want to see and don't care about the artists behind the work. You do what makes you happy

ahhh tyyy!! i really needed to hear that ;_; it's just hard and i just don't get ppl who want to be mean for the sake of being mean (or for attention). it just doesn't make sense?? ugh

I'm probably one of those people in regards to the DBZ universe thingy. I actually only use DA for the stash function and I agree with the above poster about doing what makes you happy. Haha, the lesbian xenoverse stuff is definitely winning me over! Mass Effect is an interesting one. Do you care much for Starcraft stuff? Always wanted to commission someone to do an OC based on that universe.

I have drawn starcraft stuff when commissioned! Sadly I don't know much about the universe itself but i'm always down to draw things from other fandoms :)! also np!

That's a shame that DA is like that. When i first learned about DA (as a wee high school student n' such) i didn't have much art to contribute so i didn't know of the community. now that i'm updating there it's suuuuuper jarring how many folks only comment to be mean???? even had one guy like "if you ask my opinion, this is really poorly done" and it's like??? NO ONE ASKED FOR YOUR OPINION BRO!?!? Also i'm good with critique if people SPECIFY!!
If they tell me WHAT SPECIFICALLY looks bad, but we know they won't. Cause they're goal isn't to help artists get better, it's to just cause a ruckus. oi. it's a shame ppl are so sad like that. but ty so much for the kind words! ahhh i haven't drawn as much frieza/cell pairing art as i used to, but i am drawing them individually more :D glad you like! it means a lot!

It's definitely hard hearing those things, I've been there myself. Especially when you think to yourself that you should "move on" or "ignore them." Easier said than done. Do know that there are so many people who adore your work and your characters (myself included). That's what you gotta use to keep on going. The sting will probably never leave when you get nasty comments, but the best thing to do, is to think of those who support you. I've been following your work for quite awhile, regardless of what you're into at the time, and I have no plans on stopping. <3

Ahhh ty so much for the kind words! i really do need to hear these things every once in awhile cause it just GETS to ya. As you wrote: easier said than done. But yeee! I'm so glad for the ppl who enjoy my work! Even if it may not be the reason they followed my blog. Still got some salty folks wanting me to draw mass effect or Destiny art but like?? i gotta draw what I LOVEE!! plus ppl need to realize they should just commission the things they want to see XDDD it's as simple as that. awwww ty so much! it's a shame twitter and DA are like that? One of the reasons I wanted to update more on twitter is so i could reach a wider audience but there's always a downside to that. I foolishly thought DA was more or less 'inactive' and didn't realize there were so many trolls there @_@. Honestly I'm afraid to upload my Yuca comics anywhere other than here or tumblr. I just think ppl would make fun of them despite how hard I worked on them.

oi. Maybe I'll try instagram....oneday @_@ though I already had to report some art theft there jeez lol. 'There is no heaven on earth' as they say, but I am glad ppl are being supportive. I'm not a dbz fan, but I like your style enough to waddle off to the wiki to see what's up. DA has always been something of a shithole, with a really strong bullying culture. I'm sorry that people are being negative to you on there - perhaps consider disabling comments?

Wow, I just never used to interact much on DA but am so surprised to see such mean people there :/ normally i hear about tumblr's bullying culture (which thankfully i've avoided since dbz isn't too popular there), but not as much DA. It's such a shame :/. Thankfully I'm not getting 'so many' negative comments that I think disabling them is necessary (yet) but i WILL keep that in mind :) also commissions ARE open if you're ever interested!

Yeah, I guess since the younger crowds funnel into DA and just copy whoever they idol's behavior. Tumblr also kinda has a hivemind, but it's been years since I've been a member of either community. ^^'

DA is awful and Twitter can be as well, honestly but garbage people are everywhere, and it IS tough and its understandable if you want to protect yourself from that kind of comments because not everyone can deal with them, and you honestly shouldn't have to. Backhanded comments are the fucking worst and I really wish people understood how unnecessary and hurtful they can be when they make them and it would be best to just NOT. MAKE. THEM.

That said, I love your art and I love when people are excited about their interests, so please, continue to drown me in your DBZ art because its super good and I can tell how much you enjoy making every single one of those pieces, and that's a contagious joy.

Right?? I don't get why people make such unnecessary comments? I remember when i asked someone like 'why did you comment this' and they were like: "i just wanted to strike up a conversation." And it's like????? Are they really that lonely lol that they wanted a conversation (done in a backhanded way) in the comments section? So weird.

Sadly, I was such person asshole myself who was writing idiocy as well.
It took me many years to understand that many people have their own interests and nobody is going to please, just because I want to.
Ego centrism gets cured by the more knowledge about social mechanism, which lets the person know that people have their own interests that mustn't be same as theirs.

So it's better to block them, and say that they're wrong. If the person is able to learn that, then he'll become a better a person.
But as we know that growing the unknown person is nobody's responsibility, except their parents, you just simply send them a message to "fuck off" from you.

haha i was VERRRRRY close to sending someone a message like that but decided to block them instead. It's TOUGH cause you never know how people will react about those things. If I tell them to fuck off will they make a huge blog post/youtube video about it? Will people pay attention and have it ruin my 'image' (if I even have one haha)?? Sometimes the paranoia of what people can DO online gets to me. You never know who has a lot of power >_>.

And ahh, I'm glad that you did learn that lesson though! It's good to see people on the internet as PEOPLE whose interests change. I for one could EASILY go back to making destiny or mass effect art in an instant cause myb I could get back into those fandoms (I still draw them when commissioned of course). But as of now, DBZ is what makes me happy~~But yes^^^the growth of some unknown troll on the internet isn't my responsibility. I mean, I'm sure I could be called a coward for blocking them, no response/explanation, but i think it's just better that way @_@

Yes, that's the problem here about that the people can ruin someone's image by reporting on it through the media.
though they are themselves are worse people, yet nobody points at them that they are assholes themselves.
I'm angry and sick of it that social media supports hypocrisy. Either way, it's always profitable for someone to ruin someone's life, using cheap and shallow argument as old messages with insults.

Just like the movie director of Guardians Of The Galaxy wrote some insulting message, he apologized for publicly long time ago, but he got fired only just recently. But I think that he was fired for some other reason, while the old message was just only a pretext for dismissal.

Well one of the things that is beneficial in dealing with the general public is a thick skin and accept the fact you will hear things you won't want to hear. When people are making comments like they hate this universe or preferred you drew some other character it is important to not take that personally. A lot of times people will give short, spur of the moment replies especially on platforms like Twitter which are geared for that sort of thing. It's also why there's so much toxicity on there (usually politically related). Those type of comments you gotta take with a grain of salt but you can use some of it as feedback as well. If someone wants to see a character you haven't drawn yet consider drawing it for a future project perhaps. Someone's opinion about what they like/don't like that isn't even related to your work directly isn't gonna hold weight over the quality of your work. I mean like working in retail.. you can't please everyone.

All and all I was very happy with the commission I got from you for my friend Vex. You've got quality, fair pricing, and above all else... speed and reliability. Those last two are very much lacking in this community. The more success you get though the more haters you'll wind up having. That is simply the nature of things. Check out celebrities. They've got fame, success and more money than we'll probably ever see in our lifetime.. yet they get criticized over nonsense all the time. Right down to what shoes they wear out in public. This is where thick skin will come in handy.

You're the artist. You choose to draw what you want to draw and overall from what I've been seeing the positive comments far, far outweigh the negatives. So, do what you do and don't let anyone bully you away from anywhere you wanna post but I do recommend learning to develop a thick skin to criticism and whimsical comments of people just being bitchy.

True, I think to be online in any format whether you make youtube/twitch videoes, writing fics, making art, ect. you DO have to have thick skin. It's a shame that it has to be that way and trolls rarely get punished for being who they are but yeah. I really need to learn to develop it, it's just tough. Cause yanno, u spend hours on these images and then the first comment to see is like: "i don't like this." can be discouraging.

But you do have a point, can't please everyone. I do try to keep in mind when people like other things, though i usually tell them to keep those comments off of art that has no relevance to what they're asking for (ie: someone asked for more scar/lex art on a fallout image i made which seemed thoughtless to me).

I think twitter is just 'too' public for me. Might just keeps WIPS and fluffy SFW things on there only. Also I am SO happy you like your commission :) commissions are such fun for me! I love bringing people's characters to life whether it be in SFW or NSFW situations. Either way, thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to write this kind comment, i really do appreciate it. Sometimes it helps to hear that 'yes those people are assholes, but this is ultimately YOUR blog and both the artist and the troll will just have to deal with it.'

Not a problem. With the trolls (people intentionally trying to make you have a bad day) it's usually best to resort to the block button because that's really where their power comes from is the target reacting and being upset about it. Criticism is gonna happen in this field and that's okay. That's where the thick skin is gonna help you tons! So do your best to develop it. I know it can be hard but it's gonna help you be happier. The thing with the public is you will get laymen replies like "I don't like it" because not everyone is out to give a full on critique. Though if they don't like you can poke and prod to see what it is they don't like and maybe..just maybe they'll give you good feedback that you can use. Some people need to have that extra info....encouraged... out of them. Or it could just simply be the pic isn't something that resonates with them and for whatever reason they felt a need to chime in. We do well learning from our critics so I encourage you to test the waters and engage a few of them and see if they can elaborate on why they don't like something. Gather up the data and you can use that as a guide to help yourself out. Viewing critics as an opportunity to gather data tends to help me out.

I am not a huge fan of twitter - i go on there because some artists only open up on twitter now. But its good you're still on FA, believe me you're on my commission list!

Your Destiny stuff is kick ass, not to mention the fursona/our RL selves was super cool. I've been on a binge of Rainbow Six Siege lately so ive been wanting a comm of that again. Lol
