Hey y'all,
Went in for a leaning, exam and X-rays, $29 deal.
I talked to the dentist about the whole situation (years of neglect during my depression, lack of money), and after I explained that I wanted an estimate, and my financial situation, he said 'So, if I do this it'll be for fun?'
And I was like, 'Uh, well, I-'
'Answer the question.'
'Yeah. Pretty much.'
"Give me a few minutes.'
Comes back a few minutes later, and asks when I'm working today. Tell him I'm not.
'Okay, we'll do it now.'
45 minutes later, I'm 11 teeth down.
Mouth fulla gauze, and a bit of pain so far.

Reminds me of a good explanation of sapience vs sentience; A sentient being avoids pain, a sapient one takes a little pain now to avoid more later.
That's a real nice guy. I'd do my best to scare up a couple hundred bucks or so to stuff in his mailbox.
Props to your dentists for helping you out.
Hope you're recovering OK. I'm sure it'll be a big relief eventually, when you're all healed up.
