I mean really stupid and simple goal. I found the monolith in Star Voyager, tonight! After 31 years of random plays in this game, I found it's literal lottery jackpot item. It's randomly floating about in dead space. No clues are ever mentioned, outside of a tiny paragraph in the manual and one short range detection routine on the radar.
And...what does it do? Super bomb. One time use. I always thought it was some kind of super fuel cell that kept you alive for a little bit longer.
