"The Gift", Chapter 5 Preparation and Reader Input

With Chapter 4 now complete it is time to get some more input from readers before Chapter 5 begins!
Hello all, and thank you for taking the time to check out this journal. Chances are, if you're looking at this then you probably are reading "The Gift". The time has come once again to turn to the readers to get input, direction, and contributions for the stories! As you may recall, Richard (FA)'s story has been completed except for an epilogue. There are still four more stories to go!
For this intermission between chapters I'm offering some insight into the remaining four story lines' protagonists. You may note the specific information provided this time is different than what was offered during the last intermission:
Richard is capable of supporting up to three spirits; as of the start of next chapter he will have two. His stronger connection is to Balam while his weaker connection is to Jack. He is on track to have a positive ending for up to two spirits and/or a negative ending for up to one spirit. At this point, Richard's chance of dying in the story is low.
Daniel is capable of supporting up to three spirits; as of the start of next chapter he will have four. His strongest connection is to Herne while his weakest connection is to Kon. He is on track to have a positive ending for up to two spirits and/or a negative ending for up to two spirits. At this point, Daniel's chance of dying in the story is moderate.
Edward is capable of supporting up to four spirits; as of the start of next chapter he will have four (or six, if you count The Ancient One's multiple personalities). His strongest connection is to The Ancient One while his weakest connection is to Tom. He is on track to have a positive ending for up to four spirits and/or a negative ending for up to one spirit. At this point, Edward's chance of dying in the story is moderate-low.
Stephanie is capable of supporting up to four spirits; as of the start of next chapter she will have four. Her strongest connection is to Anapa while her weakest connection is to Tom. She is on track to have a positive ending for up to three spirits and/or a negative ending for none of the spirits. At this point, Stephanie's chance of dying in the story is moderate.
This is also where you can provide boosts to spirits of your liking by posting contributions in the form of fan short stories, pictures, and the like. Be sure to post them on your page and link to it in your comment in this journal so everyone can enjoy your contribution(s)!
Also, as Richard's storyline is coming to a close, there is a proposed option to let readers take over Stephanie's storyline. Here are the voting options:
a) Keep everything the same and make no changes.
b) Move Stephanie's storyline to Monday updates and let readers influence that storyline now that Richard (FA)'s story is done, leaving Friday open for other projects.
c) Add another protagonist's story to Monday and let readers vote on that one while leaving Stephanie's where it is.
d) Move Stephanie's storyline to Monday updates so readers can vote on it and do occasional 'what if' updates on Friday showing alternate endings for plot arcs not taken.
The stories will start up again on Monday, 8/27 although Richard's storyline will conclude with an epilogue this Friday (8/24).
