Dammit! Saw the title and was all "Yes! More Windfall!".

I wish, but Ironclaw is a fun RPG with some good attention paid to aspects of life in the time period that aren't often pushed - though there are a few things from Sanguine's more recent games that could be backported to improve it further.

It also has the wargame-like aspects of tabletop RPGs dialed down pretty far (since stuff like hp is more easily calculated in a computer game) and the focus is more on RP and narrative. So you gain negative statuses like being wounded or having your shield broken instead of have an hp total.

Yah, agreed on many things you said there, it's the only RPG I still regularly play that has tactical combat, which isn't really my thing anymore, but it makes it smooth enough I can deal. :)

As for back-porting, the primary thing that comes to mind is the Opinion dice mechanic from Urban Jungle - bonus or penalty d8s that stack up depending on a social target's opinion of you and your actions, or even your allies'. It's not woven too deeply into the gifts or anything but it's a nice extra wrinkle that gives the social play some more weight and some mechanical consequences without weighing it down with a full mini-game like, say, Exalted would have.

It is a collection of stories a la Echoes, but half of the book is an all-new novella!
