Hey everyone, Mark here

I know it's been a while since i made a vent journal, but there are some things i need to get off my chest.

Firstly I graduated from college, my online one at Purdue Global, originally Kaplan University. Now this is good as i can get a start on my medical coding job...except...there's a snag. I had to take a certification exam and i flunked it badly. So i gotta retake it...but there's the problem, the cost. Originally it was $60 but now it's $106 when i set it up. Apparently the discount only lasted for so long and...well it passed.

Now can i still get a job? Well that's the problem, I live in the boonies, so finding one is...difficult, trying to find a spot that does the practicum, working there, was impossible. Now i gotta find me a job before next year when i turn 26 and get off my folk's insurance. this shouldn't be a problem right? Well, we don't have a lot of money first off, plus, there are my folk's spending habits on groceries and bills and other things we don't need...you see where I am going with this?

I told my mom countless times that the first try was paid by the school, the rest is out-of-pocket, but she doesn't understand that we have to pay that much for the tests, plus there is the fact that trying to find a job is a hassle since idk if anyone will hire me...you see my problem. I can't afford to take the re-exam, and if i wanna find a job some places need my certification to be valid...you see my point?

Sometimes i feel that all I did was a waste of time and money. I mean i want money to help my folks, but everything costs cash which I don't have, plus, not everyone is hiring people so...I feel depressed and angry. I mean i didn't even care about finding a job, I only did the school so my folks could get off me about finding a job. Now i got ten grand in student debts to pay off and no way to find a job...

sorry if i am whining but it's just not fair, schools are supposed to help you find a job, but seems they only want you to learn the bare minimum of work and then expect to pay them...

...Also, unrelated to the above, does anyone know what happened to KristinaKatt on DA? her profile has been deactivated, only just saw it yesterday so i'm curious what happened.
