Personally prefer FA over Twitter, too. More focused and less overwhelming.

Overall, I think FA is still one of the best options around. It's simple, easy to use, and the site does all I expect from an art community site, without a ton of clutter and unnecessary features. And you can post a wide range of content, clean, naughty, and anything in between.

But if you want to hang out with all the cool kids, you're required to bash FA, or so I hear.

Still plodding along with FA here too. Twitter is better for getting actual work, but FA is better for sharing and finding stuff. They work best together, one filling in where the other isn't so good.

Yeah, at least here you know you're seeing the artwork of the artist you follow.

I definitely favor FA in many ways. Things get lost and buried in twitter pretty quickly. Twitter is good for discovery but FA is good for following and keeping up or looking over someone's older work.

I still prefer using it too. I don't have to be browsing 24/7 to actually see the good stuff. and no getting lost in threads of stressful tweets. The gallery + journal set up here is simple and good, and i love foraging through other artists faves

FA is where the more serious supporters and furry fans are too. twitter is unfocused and multipurpose, you're on there for a variety of reasons, possibly all at once, but here you're definitely here for the furry shit. also when i load this site it doesn't load a hundred scripts that scrape my computer for information to sell to right wing think tanks. so that's nice

I much prefer FA to twitter.

Twitter thrives on call outs and conflict, and it has been very divisive and emboldened people who want to use the fandom as their soapbox. In contrast, gallery sites thrive on art and the soapboxers would be ranting away, largely ignored, in their journals.

As many problems as FA has, Twitter is much worse in every respect.

Yeah i personally really like FA more for posting art and interacting with fans. Plus, it's less likely to up and ban you for posting porn. Bit harder to know more people tho.

Comment on peoples art and journals. While you might not get followers as easy as you would on Twitter the interactions will be a lot more meaningful.

I don't mind FA. Its a bit wonky but it works fine :P Like the steam engine, even an old piece of tech has its uses.

No. It's not weird. While it's fine for people to stop using it because they're taking what they feel is an ethical stance or feel other services are 'better' nobody should feel pressured to leave it.

FA is good for artists. Twitter drowns out posts we spend hours on with short little one-line tweets. It’s nice to have an organized art gallery online. (:
