I got nothing agasitn Muzz, fuck, I love her stuff, but she suffers from typical good artist syndrom, which pisses me off cause all the good artists seem to be emo drama whores or art pilfering cunts, and I'm not talking about just one or two peopel here, there are several.
You have no idea how amusing I find it. Hell write more! Its hilerious. I'm quite honoured to be up on DE along side Zer and a few others. Thanks for the publicity. :P
Mostly heresay from interwebs tbh. I won't denie that drama follows me around like wildfire, and I cause it through stupidity. But its the internet. And someone who's sat there and carefully written all that about me or any other artist really doesn't have much of a life. I mean come on, there are far more interesting people out there that are worthy enough of going up on ED.
I don't think there was anything to hate in the first place. The whole thing about the furbid drama was just.. I dunno. Not needed. I never bitched at anyone who had a problem with the prices or the general idea, I just wondered why they complained when they weren't buying anything. It is stupid, high rez copies of a file. Some people asked for original flash files to edit, change the size, or do what the heck they wanted with, which was a fair deal but other than that it was a stupid idea. Props to you for smacking me in the face about it.
I've been in the fandom for two years now. Not very long for many, but I've been around long enough to get known a bit (for both good and bad things, mainly bad) and to know a good bit about other people's actions. YOU are the first person I've ever seen trying to sell digital copies to people instead of prints.
Sure, I wouldn't mind buying a digital commission (I'm strictly a commission guy, as I'm really self-centered in the sense that I prefer to buy art of my own character compared to others). To be honest, I would pay probably $50 for a digital commission from you, because the detail and how well you can nail the expressions. However, the big thing is on prints.
I don't know your history regarding the postal service (nor do I really care, honestly) but don't let crap like that get you down. Honestly, make prints and ship them, but try getting shipping insurance for the price of the materials and the cost for shipping so if it IS lost nothing is "really" lost.
I suggest that exact printer. It is VERY good, very crisp, and very fast. My close friend has one and I've had him print out a few of my digital commissions for me. It's quite nice.
Duude. Pricey printer. I do have a printer but its about 6 years old. I'd use the printers that my mother's in charge of at the school she works at but I highly doubt I'd be able to print off porn there in a primary school XD
I'm just going to avoid it all for now. Possibly in the future when I can be more organized to mail prints and the like I'll give it a go. I'll probably just stick to commissions for the time being.
I just wish I had more faith in the UK postal service XD. I mean, delivering packages is just as bad. They get left on doorsteps when parcels are suppose to be signed for, shoved through open windows, left under car's, behind plant pots and don't bother knocking to let you know. There's no caring in what they have to send/deliver.
The printer is WORTH it. Trust me. Get some glossy photo paper and WHAM! Beautiful prints. I'm tempted to shoot you a sample of it via my character reference sheet. It's quite tasty.
Commissions, by far, are your best bet. Try just opening up 5 slots a week, tops. That gets people wanting your work, and threefore more word will get around and you'll get swamped within minutes of posting that slots are open. Later on, open more and more until you feel that the amount your doing is suffucuent. Sadly, it isn't a guranteed business, but there ARE people willing to pay (oddly enough, me included).
Well, I have to say that the USPS seems to be a good deal better than that. I've yet to get a horror story regarding that, but I DO know that the USPS in Savannah, GA is a bunch of thieves. Growly has some good ones of letter with jewlery being slit open (and still deleivered!) with the jewlery "missing". But take a look at the demographics and there you go.
FedEx is also a bunch of thieves. Years ago I had bough a good bit of plastic models off of a dude from E-bay, who had sent them at different times for unknown reasons. I had never got them, and he had never purchased insurance. A few months later we had seen on the news a big story regarding the distributuion place near where we lived had been stealing an ASSLOAD of shit in excess of $50,000.
...and sadly, it's all true.
Still, can't really complain. I deserved it :P

ANYWAY enough of that.

Wait.
I'm an asshole, but not without reason.
Wait.
Scratch that.
I tend to try and let people see the light through being an asshole. That's better.
