Alright, so, I've been giving some thought to a character of mine : Heathcliff Frost, an American World War II veteran. But since my knowledge of american involvement in the War is rather lacking, I was expecting I could have some answers from any history nerd who'd happen to read this.

I just want to know if his background makes sense history-wise.

Long story short, he would've been present on the USS Arizona during the Pearl Harbor attack, which he survived. He then went on to fight in Asia, and eventually got wounded by a bullet to the head that caused him to lose his left eye. After that, he was taken back to the US to recover and later went back to the frontlines, taking part in D-Day and fighting for the liberation of France until the end of the War.

Woud that make sense ? Or should I change something ? '3'
