Sooo my friend wants me to do some picture thingy on the underside of he's long board.. I passively agreed I suppose. So I would like to know what exactly would be the ideal method to go about this is? Just treat it like a wood canvas and prime it.. Would I have to paint? I'd like to be able to use some sort of marker rather then a brush and I suppose a lacquer would be needed afterwards. I don't really know how to go about it I haven't painted in years so a lil help would be appreciated.
P.S.
He also wants one of my dog guy thingers for it. He suggested the hanging dog guy from that pic I did xP So I kind of got flustered/embarrassed immediately but he wants it. Soooo okay, cool I guess.

And... i would sand the board, and the prime it, then painting using whatever thing you like, and then using a strong barnish...
but, hey... i've never painted a board this way, i ussually just spray paint it (although the result is not very good nor endurable)

Oh, and this hanging dog guy > http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1630147/
It'd be more focused on the tree and the dog.
