The other day, my friend had to make a tough call. She does not live above her means and I can assure you most sincerely that she is a wonderful human being. She has never been anything other than kindly and decent in all of my interactions with her over the years. She was in an ugly situation which no pet owner wants to find themselves; having to pay an insane vet bill to provide life saving surgery for her puppy, or keep money in her account for groceries. Obviously, she chose to save her pup's life, but now she needs to recover her funds so she doesn't overdraw her bank account. To sweeten the pot, and because she's an outstanding person who doesn't want to feel like she's taking advantage of people, she's offering pictures in return for any donations to compensate. There's no set number as to how much you need to offer, she's just really in need of some help.
