as long as you keep your nsfw posts on 'patron only' option you should have no issues ive had my nsfw patreon for a few months now with little issue doing this method; you just cant have it for public viewing on the patreon page itself.

i usually post any patreon content that im ready to show of to public in a google drive folder or a dropbox folder to keep things organized.

IF (and that is a big IF) you choose to make a NSFW patreon account to bring in more supporters, please note that patreon will only truely target you if you make any nsfw content public. this includes suggestive images and nipples of any kind. so, if you do make a nsfw patreon, please make sure you don't go against their rules, and just post everything art related behind a paywall, for your safety. ;w;

I'm not a big supporter of Patreon personally, which is why I don't pledge - even a close friend of mine is thinking about making a Patreon and I wouldn't pledge there either.

I would support on a nsfw patreon. From my understanding there shouldn't be an issue so long as you follow the guidelines (i.e. no porn depicting what appear to be minors and sexual violence i think are two). I love your art style no matter what you're drawing to be entirely honest.

Well, I know people see, read, and fav stuff I post that I got from you, so I added the patreon link right where your also credited. Was the only thing I could really think on my own page that might send more your way in that area.

For me, it really is hard times. Haven't been making dirt for money. Hoping that at least changes during the holiday season (after October) and idk what I'm even going to do (besides take another job I'd rather not) when that all dies down again. I went into I believe 4-5 patreon pledges and I was doing one for $2 still and I even dropped that one despite the awards.

I don't think there's anything wrong with adding in some NSFW, but, don't give in to the point where your just so unhappy. Like, keep it to a minimum, and make sure it's locked in, so it can't be seen by anyone at all besides patrons. In other situations I'd think maybe some exclusive content, like more awesome wallpapers you've done in the past, with like a public release whenever you choose, or not public at all.

That's really all I have. I apologize for your frustration, you deserve a lot more support than what you have. Honestly, with me-I'd rather save up for a commish (eventually x.x. right now) and pay you that way. So it's also not for everybody but, yeah. Sorry it isn't going up with the obvious increase of watchers/all those that have commissioned within even just the last year, etc.

I've been following you for years and to this day you remain one of my favorite artists. I've never had the money to commission you though I've wanted to since forever But I hate seeing ya like this. I'll support your current Patreon with whatever I can, and when I pay off some bills I'll put forth more towards ya.

I respect you as artist and commend your commitment to being a mainly SFW artist. That said I think you should do whatever it is you WANT to do. I also think you need to raise your prices. Yes I know that sounds a bit crazy, but you already have a pretty good following, but your work is honestly worth ALOT more then what you're currently charging. And this is coming from ME, someone who has yet to commission you and STILL wants to.

If you think about it it makes sense, in the beginning you start off small and charge cheap, because you don't have the following yet. But word gets around because of your lower price point. Well now you're pretty big imo. I think the demand for your work means that you deserve and are worth more for what you charge.

I've always respected how sexy you are able to make your work without ever tipping it into NSFW. It'd be interesting to see where you'd take NSFW art, and I'd definitely suggest testing the waters of that if nothing else. If it ends up not being fulfilling, you could always stop. Or at least make it something you do every once in a while.

To be honest, I'd love to support any Patreon of yours, with whatever work you produce with. But unfortunately I simply can't afford it.

It sounds like it'd be a good idea to make some paid NSFW. That way you could keep doing what you want and the people who do want NSFW can get it. (I'd imagine if they want it, they wouldn't mind too much paying) It also gives another reason to support if they get content they wouldn't see otherwise. If it's paid only it kinda keeps it hidden too.

It sounds like there's a lot of people who do want to support but maybe find it a bit of a hassle. A tip jar or something of the sort I saw mentioned sounds like a convenient thing. I feel like if you make it convenient to support you, you'd see a lot more of it. Maybe something to look into.

I have visited your Patreon two times previously, but I have always forgotten to hit that pledge. Third time's the charm!

I wasn’t that aware that you have a Patreon. One thing I see some artists do is advertise their Patreon work in temporary uploads (or scraps?). So you can show a portion of the image, and put the Patreon logo in the corner and advertise that you have a new drawing on your Patreon. Also linking your Patreon in the description of your uploads and a link on your main page would also give a bigger chance of people knowing you have a Patreon.

I also suggest you expand your platforms. Post to InkBunny, post to Tumblr, more chances more people will come by, see your work, and want to follow and/or commission you. Also, having a long going comic sfw or nsfw would also attract more peeps. It could also be a Patreon motive to see pages early or even wips of each page. You can do “Art tips with RU” having the cute lil’ draggo or the pair of you two give art tips and advice. That too could be a Patreon exclusive that you can advertise whenever a new installment is made.

I haven’t checked your Patreon yet, but make each pledge tier enticing. For a $1 a month you can get lower resolution wip images of what you’re working on, and lower res colored images of finished work 3 days before the platform uploads, also see random doodle work. $5 a month gets you access to full HD wips, HD colored finished content before platform uploads, Art Tips with RU, and 2 week early comic page updates. $10 a month gets you access to participate in YCH polls, YCH lottery, gain access to exclusive videos where you show you drawing commissions, personal content, doodles. You can also add text to explain what you’re doing, what brushes and settings you’re using, and why.

Side note, YCHs are super popular, you should experiment with them. Like a certain pose? YCH it! :3
Make YCHs that include your characters such as Mako and RU.

You can do all this while still being sfw. I would support both your sfw and nsfw content. I hope all this text shows how much I think you should succeed as the talented artist you are. Sadly nsfw does attract crowds easier, but having an enticing long sfw comic can do similar. Art tips with RU would bring the attention of new artists your way as well. There is never enough content to help us striving new artists get direction and form the next generation of artists.

Anyway, I'm not a fan of the patreon system personally. I prefer to commission art traditionally, so my views are going to be a little biased.

When it comes to porn the question is "do you want to make it" If the answer is "not really" then doing so will probably just result in you growing disgruntled with the job. Furthermore if you do decided to go this route you will still need to advertise it. Which will mean posting censored or blurred versions of said art on this very account for it has the most watches.

I post my patreon link in every artwork I make to help promote it. I get new folks that way more than I do any other way.

I also have a kofi linked in all my art for the folks who would rather 1 time donations. Its easier for people to remeber I have these if I link in ever submission. I, myself, dont often visit artists profiles or read every journal they make. Their image description is the best advertisement for their kofi and patreon.

Also, if you dont enjoy drawing nsfw, you probably shouldnt make that your selling point. If you cant enjoy your own content, how long are you going to still feel like drawing? Post what you love and folks who also love that will stay to see more of that thing they love.

^ What Uluri said. The bottom portion of this statement, absolutely. If you don't want to / enjoy drawing nsfw, don't. You got this far doing what you enjoy. There have been artists who've felt "forced to draw porn for the money," and later regretted it, having it overshadow their other work...or nuked their gallery to be able to have a "clean rep" when applying for design work at studios.

Not everyone can support artists they like financially, unfortunately. But...you have their support in spirit. Someone above did the math on consecutive weeks of art you've worked. If you need a break to rejuvenate yourself...take it. We'll wait for you.

Just wanna say, I don't know you from before, but your artistic skills are great and I'd love to commission you sometimes, when you feel abit more open for it.
Sorry to hear that you have difficulties with patreon and such. When it comes to NSFW and SFW I don't mind and don't see what the problem would be. Art is art and you're a great artist, no question about it.

I love your art. But I’m not a fan of the weekly payments either.
