I still can't believe I survived such a horrific event tbh, all in all I remember this the most:
-The windows were shaking
-The door was bending
-Trees were breaking every minute
-The wind was whistling
-Water poured inside the house
Nearly 3000 people died over the events. I remember listening to the radio for the next months, drawing, talking with family, not being able to leave my house over the destroyed roads. I had no electricity, no water, no cell signal. Things were so bad people began stealing all sorts of shit including a whole gas tanker, I was literally living a Mad Max level of wasteland. Puerto rican people after the hurricane were as scary and destructive as the hurricane. Not everything was bad though, family helped each other out for al sorts of things like clearing debris, bringing food and water. The most positive thing i took from all of this was the creative freedom of doing whatever I wanted, I drew so much, I came up with the idea of making Goblin art for myself and eventually others.
Most of all I'm glad that in the 1 year anniversary of Hurricane Maria hitting our island and consequently me drawing Goblins, I reached 69 watchers oh what a lovely day
I really hope we never forget the failures of the U.S. government in the aftermath of such a horrific incident. Now our president lies to our faces about the death count :(
PR deserves better!
More importantly: 69 hehehe
