Spent the entire day at the ER...

[ General information ] ♞ [ Commission info ] ♞ [ Open slots and commission status ] ♞ [ About me ] I was taken to the ER today with strong sharp chest pain and fever.
After spending 7 hours there, mostly sitting on a super un-ergonomic metal bench (Hungarian healthcare...) they ruled out all the life threatening possibilities, but we still don't know what's wrong exactly. It is likely pleurisy.
For now I will just rest and see if I improve, otherwise I'll have to go to another hospital for more medical exams.
I'll try to work a bit if I can sit comfortably in my chair but rest is top priority now.

We spent all night with my Dad on a metal operating table until about noon, from 2 am. We just went home after the sharp pains finally subsided.
He went to several doctors until finally to a doctor that was about to retire being older than all the others,
He suggested to my Dad that it might be his intestine had pinched over like a hose does when you pinch off water from it. He suggested I massage my father's kidney on the left side of his spine on his back since he was feeling a pain like a soreness there, I did and he passed gas and belched,
The older doctor suggested my Dad drink an 8 ounce Coke every night to keep his stomach from getting pinched off and gas building up inside. That worked since there were no signs of appendicitis which is usually what that pain is.
Drink an extremely high carbonated drink once a night, that might not be what it is, but my father also had type 2 diabetes. His body started acting differently when he got that disease.
Also my back pain problem which is independent of this was interfering. Now that I figured it out I can keep the pain pretty minimal by paying attention to my pose, how I sit/lay and minimize stress to the origin area.
I'll see if a few days of rest improves it. If it does, I just keep resting and if it doesn't, then further exams.
