it's still a personal preference thing. I like it still, but its true that a lot of places are disappearing. There are still RP areas, social ones, and then the usual naughtiness that occurs.

I've asked this question around and I get so many different answers! Some positive, some negative, and a few neutral. I know one thing is for certain, I'd have to spend a pretty penny updating my avatar and that right there is the reason why I haven't bothered logging in. e_e

Only if you wish to go mesh. I'm still rocking an older avatar myself. I still have both my old Waterhorse, and a new mesh one. But each is different in that my old one is a standard, and the mesh one is a draft. As for my Anthro avie, all old school baby! V1 and V2 of the Aventity horse. I haven't gone to a newer mesh anthro yet. In most cases, $20 in lindens gets you most things, including some mesh avatars. In other cases, it's $30 in lindens. as for the accessories, If you place the old school prim stuff just right, it can match or blend in well with a mesh body. I still have prim wings with my waterhorse avatars as I have yet to find mesh wings that fold and flap while flying, as well as mount horizontally to the body.

I periodically check in on SecondLife. One thing I am big on is 3D modeling and so the building aspect of SL is what initially drew me in. However, gotta agree with others' claim that SL has less activity overall. Its funny because I can think most of the younger folk wouldnt like the old way we used to RP (text) and yet, SecondLife doesnt seem to have done much retention of people that will log SL hours on a regular basis.
