There seems to be at least two groups:

1: The group that is actually fighting for EQUALITY which is understandable. A women should be paid the same as a man based solely upon experience and skill and things similar to that.

2: The group that seems to be about taking away rights from men and go so far as to demonize men. This is the group that gives a bad name to feminists that are fighting for the right thing.

So I'd say that if you take issue with #2 I can fully understand. But in this day and age men and women have it more equal than some realize, at least in the US where a LOT of #2 feminists seem to reside. Granted some middle Eastern countries do treat women like dirt and that is a real shame, but these #2's should be fighting their fight there and see what happens. =P

Well put. Those other countries are a big red flag for them. I actually saw someone point this out, how these activists should be helping those women instead, but...... instead of saying something reasonable like "We have little power over other countries", they called this argumentation sexist, because those women are not helpless! They can fight for their own rights in their own country.

Yeah, let's go up to the women who are considered subhuman in their countries and call them pussies for not standing up for themselves! That sounds reasonable!

There are good and bad ways to fight for your rights and equality. Its fine for a group to be vocal and to be angry and hell even pointing out huge contributors to problems. But if people start getting hurt or their lives absolutely ruined then its not. People getting threatened,demonized,or worse because they may have a different view or not 100% agree with you so they are evil...that's when you have problems. Regrettably I find too often that people become too linearly focused towards a cause and lose track of long term impacts or the cost of achieving your goals. Its not just a feminism answer I guess but my simple input on these kinds of things. There has to be a limit to what lines you will not cross and what costs are simply too high to pay. Otherwise one day you will look back and probably regret it or maybe be recorded on the wrong side of history one day.

Precisely what I think. The short and narrow sighted way they view things will only do more harm than good in the long run.
