Once more into the breeches, dear friends!
First thing's first: It's not great so far.
After arriving at my college, some of my items were accidentally taken to the wrong room, and nobody has any idea where they were. Those items were a coffee maker, a lamp, a hamper, and my damn sheets. I raged for a little bit, but then went to Wal-Mart to buy them again.
Of course, I was at risk of other things getting stolen, because my door didn't have a key for it. I had to leave it unlocked to get in and out of it. I spent an hour just walking across this huge campus, going back and forth looking for my RA to get me a key.
As it turns out, they lost mine. As it turns out, I was one of the three people who they lost the keys for. Out of a bit over a hundred people.
I'm one lucky sumbitch.
On the upside, I get the whole dorm to myself before my sophomore roomie gets here next week.
....hey, I just wrote a journal that wasn't an excuse or an apology!
It was an actual journal entry!

Off campus housing is your friend good sir. I don't have to worry about any of that stuff. Instead, I have to worry about rent, *shivers* but that's another story.

Not only is living off campus hassle free, it's...well, free, too! Sorry this had to happen to you, though. Not a good first impression on a college you'll be attending...
