ABOUT COMMISSIONS: please read!!!

hi everyone! i feel like i gotta write something, because lately i've been getting a lot of questions in note about them, and i feel like i gotta lay down some ground rules about commissions and how they are done now.
i'd like to keep this on my front pages at all times, but idk it might get pushed down but i'll try to keep it visible at the very least. so!
i've been getting a lot of notes about commissions like when am i opening and etc and i just gotta nip these questions as whole in the bud i think, because i don't like them and i don't like having to repeat myself and what is written on my profile here in the first place about commissioning openings which people seem to be ignoring every time i get a note.
i am not open for commission here, except when i choose to open slots via journal or something like an auction through submission.
please do not note me about commission openings because i CANNOT tell you when i am opening them! and i will explain why.
as you all know, patreon is literally my main source of income and anything else i do on the side is just when i have the motivation and energy to make some extra money or if i have to because of an emergency etc. i have a handful of extremely dedicated and generous supporters that i must work for on a monthly basis. without them i would have very little stability and would need to be opening commissions here like crazy but the fact is whenever i have i don't even get a lot of interest IMMEDIATELY anyways which is what i depend on. and i need that stability in my current life. my patrons will ALWAYS come first, they will ALWAYS have priority over the public for anything but ESPECIALLY commissions.
if you want a commission, you will have to consider pledging and supporting me on patreon for your best shot! or wait patiently for slots opening here, but mind you, that ONLY happens if NO patrons are interested, and it's very rare that i don't fill up the few slots i open for them and so rarely do slots open here anymore because i get what i need from them. and that's my main concern going forward, and this is likely how it will be.
i would like to change that, but i'm already so busy with patreon and producing content while also taking some time for myself so i don't get burned out or overworked and especially now because of my health that matters even more! i find myself getting really tired and the free time i have from patreon is often spent sleeping or doing things to relax, and maybe a few collabs to keep money afloat if i get too low.
the fact is, i can't tell anyone not a patron about commission openings because that would be EXTREMELY unfair to put other people first and not them. they are the ones supporting me monthly, and it's only fair to give them that priority. if you want the same treatment, for the benefits they have, you have to be a patron, or you need to be patient and stop asking me when i'm opening commissions and keep your eyes peeled for openings.
i have a telegram channel (previously discord which i stopped using-) for patrons only and i often announce things like streams and commission openings! so if you're subscribed to that channel you will know as soon as everyone else does- i also post them on the main site as well but the channel is more convenient for me personally... people pledging more will of course get more priority but they don't always go for commissions so you still have a great chance! and if you are seriously interested i can always put you on a waitlist if you'll be patient with me! i'm very willing to work things out for my patrons! : )
plus if you're a patron and pledging a certain amount, as thanks for pledging, you get discounts on commissions and pay less depending on your patronage every time you get a commission! it depends on the commission type, as well as the amount you're pledging but you'd be paying less due to your support per month!
the only thing being is you have to be pledging a month fully before asking for commissions, because i don't want people supporting me for commissions only. the commissions are a thank you for being a long time supporter, they are a bonus for your support, they are not for you to take advantage of and run off from patreon when you get one as a one time thing. that's my least favorite thing ever and i'm determined to prevent that from happening! it's very rude, especially when i need to make time as it is for stuff like that as well.
if you read all that, or didn't--- i hoped it cleared things up for some people. i'm sorry that i can't do commissions like i used to, i really am- but until something drastic happens with patreon, or my life-- this is what i need to do to keep everything good and i hope you all can understand where i'm coming from <3 thanks a lot for reading, if you did!
if you have any questions you can ask here or send me notes--- just please don't ask about commission openings anymore if you are not supporting me via patreon. you'll just have to wait like everyone else.
