Shoudl I make a patreon?

Been in my head for a while. Should I do it?
Clarification, If I were to make a Patreon, it would be more like a tip Jar, a place where you could vote in a poll for what character(s)/idea(s) you would like to see me draw that month.
It would not have anything Patreon exclusive content, and all content would also be released a few days later to the public.
But because of Patreon rules and regulations towards NSFW artists, NSFW content won’t be made public on the patreon page, as to not get in trouble.
I’d like to go down this route so I can have more freedom over what I draw and not rely as much on commissions.
That poll will play a big role in deciding if it’s worth to take the leap or not.

That said, all you stand to lose from a tip jar Patreon is your time spent on it, really. Patreons require engagement; if you don't interact with your patrons at least semi-regularly, they'll probably drop you when they want to support someone else. I'd personally recommend a Ko-fi instead, through which you can solicit general tips from people who like your work, and tips from the people who commission you if they're especially happy with the pcture.
