Hey everyone! If you recall, last year I took part in a charity event called Extra Life. Gamers from all over the country each do a 24-hour game stream and ask viewers to donate money, which goes to local children’s hospitals. As someone who has family members who have benefited from this kind of thing, I would love to try to give something back!

My wife and I will both be participating this year. I know I’m starting the advertising for this a bit late; I actually wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to participate due to some other plans. But those plans fell through, so now I’m free for it again!

I won’t attempt to do a consecutive 24-hour stream; instead I’ll split it up over four days. I’ll start on the evening of the 1st of November and play several hours. Then I’ll do 8 hours on both the 2nd and 3rd (which is technically “game day”), and finish up whatever remaining hours I have on the 4th.

For anyone who hasn’t come to one of my gaming streams before, be aware that I’m not a professional streamer nor really even an expert gamer. I approach game streaming as the digital version of “hanging out on the couch and chatting while gaming” that I used to do with my friends when I was younger. I tend to take games leisurely, and will pause often to chat with friends or whoever wants to talk (I’m planning on using voice chat, too, though I may not have it on 100% of the time.) If I can figure it out, I may also have a multi-stream link with my mate set up so you can watch both our streams at once! (She’ll be playing visual novels and Stardew Valley!)
