Go Fundme Update!

for the people who don't know what this is about: https://www.gofundme.com/nedoiko-escape-plan
Hello! it's been a bit of a while, and we've been delaying this update a bunch since the results of everything were somewhat uncertain for a long time
As you remember, the plan was to use the funded money to travel, and meet together in another country, the ideal place being Cancun, Mexico, this meeting would give us proof to apply for the K1 type visa, so I could move in with Chatai
Several things happened right after the campaign that we didn't took into account, the first of which was that the summer season was just starting, and whith it, all the hotel and traveling prices rose five-fold, so we waited for a moment as we tried to look for a good flight plan.
As we were looking, we found another hurdle and it was that all flights to get to cancun (and anywhere other than europe for that matter) had to make a stop at either the US or Panama, this became a HUGE deal because both countries ask you for a visa in order to just enter its borders, tough panama was a bit lax, so we focused our efforts there, we did a big investigation, even calling embassies to see if it was ok, a couple months went by withouth an answer until we got a very vague "yes"
But here's the kicker, right around this time we noticed many flight oportunities were starting to dissapear, only leaving a couple up, and those were the ones who made the stop in Miami, we investigatedabout it and Oh surprise, bad venezuelan relationships with other countries made it so many airlines stopped dealing with it, now the amount of airlines in the country can be counted with one of your hands, and they're only to go to certain places in europe, china, and american airlines, it's a complete mess. the worst part is that according to the articles we found about it, this had happened RIGHT after our GoFundme campaign, and nobody knew about it, the flights on the sites where just the leftovers.
As you see, this plan didn't go so well, but we're still pushing, since we can't move around and travel without needing a pesky pitstop in miami, we shifted our focus a bit and delivered our case to an inmigration lawyer, and apparently we have a bit of an opportunity due our extreme circumstances and we are hopeful this will work as the lawyer is really experienced. Most of the money we asked for was to cover traveling expenses, specially since traveling from venezuela to anywhere other than the US is super expensive, but we are now using that money to cover the legal stuff, and the leftovers to actually fly there.
This update took a bit longer than what I wanted to make it due to the uncertainty of the whole flight stops thing and I wanted to make sure we had "solid choices made" before we said something like "this is happening and I don't know what to do", so we pushed on the investigation. We also have a bit of a plan B in that I'm still trying to get my italian citizenship and passport, and I finally managed to nag an appointment at the embassy, since we already have the leftover to pay a flight, and italian passports double as visitor visas, I can potentially use them to go visit, and meet the requirements for the K1 Visa then, the only thing is that both of these things we have running right now may take upwards of 10 months or more, which, well, really saddens me a lot, but it's still the best shot we got, and we wouldn't be in this advanced spot if it wasn't because of your support.
So, I guess aside from just wanting to be transparent with all of you, I just wanted to thank you all for what you did, we are really thankful and lucky to have had this much support.
We will go ahead and use what support you've given us to get him out more permanently! Thank you so much!
