Coincidentally I'm actually on a 0 fat diet this week. You'd be surprised how hard it is to find foods that contain no fat and no oils. I'm on the diet in order to give my liver a chance to "shift gears" and start focusing on processing my stored bodyfat instead of new fat that gets introduced into my system.

CELERY HERE WE COME.
SO if you are fat you cant exercise.. ok
um
but I ont believe it affects the memory.. I mean um... crap what was I talking about ?
You are lucky in that your metabolism is stabilized such that you can sit on your ass and not gain weight. Your friend did not lose weight because regardless of how much she worked out her metabolism was at a point where it would not allow her to. Eating nothing and working out daily does not work. By not eating anything your body goes into "starvation" mode where it sucks up all the fat and calories it can and does its best to not expend them regardless of work done. If her daily diet was a good 5 small meals a day at around 1800-2400 calories per day, with a workout regiment that burned approximately 600-1200 calories every day for a 3 day workout regiment I guarantee she would lose weight.
I am a college Decathlete at 5'7 and 165 lbs with 5% body fat. According to the BMI I am over weight but with 5% body fat im technically skinnier than 85% of Americans.
In may I was 175lbs and around 6 or 7% body fat. My diet was not sufficient for the workouts I was doing (a normal workout for me burns around 1000 to 1500 calories) but since my diet was shit I would not lose weight. I changed my diet and workout schedule to match the one seen above. I lost the 10 lbs in 1 month.
Saying that working out will not help you lose weight is complete udder bullshit that Diet buffs want you to believe so they can make money. either that or its just a huge ploy being thrown into the public to push people to eat better regardless of what they do for a workout as many think that just because they workout they can eat whatever shit they want. The same is true for the exercise buffs.
The truth is that 90% of all diets fail without proper exercise and 90% of the effort put into exercise goes to waste without proper diet. Health experts have been saying this for decades. PROPER DIET AND EXERCISE. Never one without the other. Your metabolism is regulated a LOT by the two and that is why they are so important. The next biggest factor as said before is genetics but with proper diet and exercise your metabolism can and will change to promote weight loss or weight gain depending on your goal. The biggest proof I can point out for this is the show "the biggest loser" As these are normal people who undergo a HUGE overhaul towards daily exercise and diet and end up losing huge amounts of weight.
As I said, every action you make requires a certain amount of energy, and most people underestimate the amount of calories you can burn by simply being less lazy and adopting better habits.
Unless you cut your calorie intake to the point of unhealthiness, there shouldn't a big difference between the effects of dieting and exercising in this context.
But I don't know, I don't go to McDonalds so the difference might be bigger for some of you.
3) will help you lose weight provided you (1) eat quality food and (2) work off and uSE more than you take in aka eat a diet of 1900 and use 2000

For example the fingers of your hands are the main regulators for the temperature of your organs. The membranes that contain the organs are flush with blood vessels that are also connected to the fingers. Cooling your hands will actually cool your entire body very efficiently. The US army has developed such cooling gloves and now similar devices are appearing on the consumer market, targeting athletes.
The hands aren't the normal cooling route BUT they have a lot of blood vessels, which are used for cooling in other mammals, so you can use them for it with some trickery. (the gloves you mention use a vacuum to pool blood in the hands, which doesn't happen naturally). Shivering and sweating are the main tempature regulators, blood flow changes usually only get involved when things get extreme (hypothermia).
Also cells do have clocks, well maybe not a specific cell but a LOT of the scientific industry involved with other animals and even humans are pretty sure we have a "natural" clock within our systems that works through specific chemical flows in our bodies.
However to say the liver goes on and off at a certain time of day is a tad far fetched as it is very dependent on a persons natural clock. What is 11-11:30 to one may be 12-12:30 to another.
as an example of the bodies "natural" clock this is a little news post about how scientists are studying how daylight savings time screws with the bodies natural clock http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal.....k_1002532.html
I think the vacuum was used to accelerate the effect or to make the product more unique. After all if the vacuum effect wasn't involved in the device then there would be no reason to buy it since you could just use ice water :P
Makes sense for some reason. :/
And I dun mean KFC D:
Life is too short, but you need to stop and smell the roses. It's a principle too many people are forgetting. It's not only about the amount of time, its also about the quality of it and by working towards both you ultimately will end up in a better position than a person who only works towards one of those principles.
Also, I bet 20 bucks that Kesarra weights at least over 250 pounds. *snickers*
So I guess im just adding to what you've already said ^^
I use brown sugar myself so I don't know anything about it, I'll take your word for it.
But just the same... To anyone offended by my previous statement, past, present or future, stop reading into what I typed, there was no underlying message of "ha ha, you got sick/died/ect". Any offense taken from my previous post was almost guaranteed at your misinterpretation, this post however... well I might understand if this upsets someone, it's a big internet and people like to take things personally.
Facts like that are the reason that I believe a truly free market system would be disastrous, no morals ever trump profits.
Is there anything I can do to stop that, Dr MifMaf ?
Is there a veggie that makes people happy ?
High nutrient foods actually do make you happy :3
I know how hard it is to find such, even nutritious meals have them XD
Personally, I've been working over the summer to decrease the portions of my meals, my rationale being that if one gets fuller quicker, then it is easier to manage the intake of fats, carbs, and sugars. So far it's worked pretty well, and I can visibly see myself slimming compared to how I looked before... However, it was probably not helped that I worked at a DQ this summer (I had a quesadilla consisting of a tortilla, cheese, tomato, onions, and half a breast of chicken almost every day though... So I didn't do the high-fat uber cheeseburger route...).
Once I get to college (read: next week) I plan on doing about 30 minutes of cycling in the morning 2-3 times a week and continuing to have small meals.
I'm hoping this will help. I'm tired of being a big guy.
