Your day will never be as terrible as my Cat's

was awoken this morning at 5am by my dad saying something was wrong with my cat.
His eyes were both super shut, he looked weird and smelled even worse.
I think he got ass blasted at point blank range by a juvenile skunk.
spent an hour and a half bathing him over and over with a hydrogen peroxide/baking soda/dish washing soap mix that the internet said would help with the smell AND dog shampoo cause we don't own cat shampoo.
I don't know if he'll ever forgive me.
he may never purr again.
I may have to bathe him periodically through the day with this hydrogen peroxide baking soda solution to get rid of smeel.
currently burning scented candle in my room with window open.
its working.
Or I'm just getting used to the smell.
It's 6:45 am and my cat has had the worst start to his day and I've had a very wet start to mine . 
Hope hes ok tho!
How did he even get skunked at point blank range tho?
