I'm mostly of the opinion that any breakdown of topics into this whole black and white topic is reductive. It erases any nuance in said topic, and assumes that the only reason for doing anything is sexual. Some of us cover topics like this due to literary/artistic reflection on problems in the world, or reflections on innocence, or reflections on consequences of the predatory nature of the food chain being brought into a realm with sentient creatures. The argument being used mostly from the opposing side generally tends to attribute sexual motive where there isn't one, then uses that to paint the other side as perverts. Quite frankly it's projection.

The argument that most folks against it is almost a direct swap for Furries sexualize animals, therefore it makes people think that they can use animals for sex, therefore furry grooms people into being animal rapists.
