The Sorcerer’s Mistake, a fun dumb question I have for fol

I asked this over on Twitter (@youcrazyforthis) but I think it’s a fun enough game to bring over here:
A sorcerer casts a spell on you to turn you into your fursona, but he says a word of the incantation wrong and you’re turned into an animal adjacent to your fursona (ex: I’d be turned into a red fox instead of a red wolf). What do you become, and do you complain or live with it?

As Zaress, I'd turn into a... what's adjacent to dragon? Lizard? >.> Again, I think "wingless dragon" -> "lizard" is a minute change. n.n7
A fun thing, I think, would be to roll a die, and whatever result you got you have to move either up or down on the FA species list. XD
I was going to ask what the FA species list was, but then I realized. That would be funny. Which would be better, moving one slot up or down, or rolling a 40-some-odd sided die and getting a random result?
Hopefully wouldn't be too inclined to complain, unless it was something that was WAY too off in my book. Hopefully it would be something in the vein of a Keeshond, Husky, Malamute, or other "sufficiently fluffy" breed. Would rather not be a short-haired sort, and pointed-ears would be my preference, but long/floppy ears are okay.
If not a domestic dog, then I guess a Coyote, Jackal, Fox or something? I could live with being one of those if that happened, I'd think.
I mean, really anything in the canidae family could be considered "adjacent", depending on how you mean it.
