The reveal of the next expansion shows the Nu Mou as one of the new beast tribes for 5.0. I am happy that my fav Ivalician race is now in the MMO I play all the time, but at the same time, I'm a bid sad that they are under beast tribes. For those that don't know, beast tribes in FF14 are a collective race of....well, beastmen that are usually intelligent like the player races, but they have their own sects/tribes/etc that don't mesh with the cities that we visit. They have shown friendly beastmen, but beastmen in general have a bad stigma because the bad ones summon primals, which suck up the life force of the planet to sustain themselves.
...Now I wonder how they are gonna sound when they talk! Beastmen usually have a few lines of voiced dialogue in the main quests, but they speak mostly through text in the side quests.

Considering Nu Mou are usually gentle by nature, I imagine they won't attach a negative stigma to them.

Oh I am sure! But sadly, every single beast tribe in the game always has a bad group that causes trouble. There's never a 100% friendly beast tribe in the game....yet. If the bad nu mou do summon a primal, it better be based on one of the Ivalice summons.

That is such a one-sided way to write the beast tribe. They really need to be more creative.

Well what you gonna do? There are good ones, but the bad overshadow them. Later expansions do have them in a bit more positive light, but again, bad ones ruin the bunch.
