I'm afraid not to be honest. :( The last time there was a purge they just started locking and deleting accounts that used the NSFW tag regardless of frequency but I'm not sure what "criteria" they're looking for this time. I'd say make sure you have backups of everything you have posted there and look for alternate sites to post to. Twitter seems to be the most common but FA is pretty popular. Right now everyone is just spamming their blogs with links to other places to find their work and where to keep up with them for their followers to move to so I say that's your best bet. Hope that helps but I'm sorry I couldn't be more reassuring. :/

Problem is that honestly Twitter is TERRIBLE for galleries. Almost impossible to navigate, especially to get through retweets and other things.

Oh I know, no organization. It's the closest thing to Tumblr though which is why that's everyone's go-to alternative I guess.

Apparently it's not based on nsfw but something IRA related, still though if tumblr were to have it's way, all nsfw accounts would be gone

I heard that it was because the Tumblr app was suddenly removed from the IOS app store with a vague reasoning of "adult content" and that's a pretty big market so I guess Tumblr's solution is to purge the adult content from their site... no bothering with the porn bots tho! Still, whatever the reason it sucks.

I would think that purging NSFW will alienate WAY more users than not having native iOS support when you can, you know, just use Safari to browse it anyway... ><

They'll lose a shitton of money, too, from the lack of users getting premium features, and the advertisers will pull out as the userbase dwindles, so it's a terrible move even from a purely business standpoint.

Yeah that was the reasoning for the first purge. I’m sure it’s one of the reasons for this purge too but they’ve done a pretty god awful job of getting rid of porn bots so it’s not a very good excuse on their part.

They already have a safe mode for people who don't have an account, and people with an account can enable or disable it whenever they want.

Honestly I hope so, otherwise they'd be practically committing suicide.

Apparently tumblr staff is now saying it was a glitch and to contact support to get deleted blogs restored or something like that. That's the last I heard of it last night.
