I think sadness is tied to having a lack of choices/option in certain aspects. So I'd say it's normal to want to go to this seemingly fun event with friends and being bummed out by not being able to go. But life is pretty full of them, so as long as you don't let it paralyze you, the sadness is ok as it's natural and understandable. Though I think it also helps to not focus on the bad side of it too much (in my case anyway). Finals are a currently good reason to miss out on it as they are important. And it's an annual event. So you can always have that as a goal once you have more freedom to do so.

Also, taking time off from the Internet, at this point, is almost always a decent option for almost any reason really. If you really can't shake the sadness, surrounding in the cause is not really a productive thing to do. But if you get sadder away, then that might not be the right approach.

To be fair, I'm pretty jealous that I can't attend any furcons too. Mostly due to money issues. ^^;
I'd just say, don't let it bother you. If you wanna avoid FA to stay away from mention of furry cons, that could work too.

At least there is only less than 8 more days until the release.

Unfortunately that's kinda most of the conventions I want to go to. Especially ones close to me. I'm at mff right now. Sorry you can't attend and I now the feeling. It sucks. It does. *hugs*

I totally understand that feeling. For the first few years of being in the fandom, I could only dream of being able to budget for any con- time *or* money. It sucks to think about missing out.

Just gotta make it a goal for the future for both of us~
