The Mobile Studio Pro uses a changeable M.2 ssd, so it's not soldered on the mainboard, all the data should be perfectly safe on that card for now. I really wouldn't try to run the thing with a swollen battery, I'd ask Wacom if they intend to swap the SSD or have some other solution.

Wacom warns over and over again in all caps in their warranty to back up all data before sending it in, because they will wipe it

The fact they don't even consider dead devices with that is annoying, swapping the battery is all they'd have to do, or swap the SSD on completely dead units. If you can contact them and work out some other option it'd be much better than taking the risk, but if you absolutely have no other choice I'd do it with the device on a metal tray, and/or outside, and be prepared to lose everything anyway...

The last thing I can think of is disconnecting the battery from the main board and seeing if it'll boot from just wall power, but only if you can get to the connector without doing more damage, and unfortunately it's literally in the middle of the computer. If you can disconnect it, and then reconnect it before you ship it, without any evidence you did so (because they might use that as an excuse to deny you a replacement), it'd be much safer.
