RIP Josie Update
Thank you all for the condolences
Yesterday was really rough.
Josie was going to turn 17 next month, and had been in declining health for the past week, but we were hopeful she would turn around because she always did? Like for the past 3 years she would have a rough spot and then bounce back, but yesterday she started vomiting blood, and it was heartbreaking. I stayed with her for a few hours before it was too much, we wanted to see if she would pass away at home, but shes a fighter thats for sure, so we had to make an appointment.
It happened really fast, and she was really peaceful, she had me, my sister, and mom with her when she was euthanized.

I will miss that evil genius of a dog, ill never forget when she pushed the chair out from our table and ate an entire pizza. All the times she would carry around her filled food dish asking for more. How sassy she was to our other dog Odin, Josie was a small dog while Odin is this huge great dane, it was always funny to watch them bark and talk to one another.

We were able to bury her in our backyard afterwards (luckly the ground wasnt completely frozen)
She's buried next to her bestfriend Major, my first dog who passed away at 16 years of age when i was in highschool.
She was originally my grandmothers dog, and you know what they say, all dogs go to heaven. I hope they are able to be together once more

I raise my glass, and say that she is at peace now. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
